Interview: Professional Vehicle Driver at CoCarmoov – Insights, Advice and Experience
For over a year, CoCarmoov has been expanding its vehicle transport services across France, supporting professional deliveries, private customer handovers and inter-site transfers.

In this exclusive interview, we speak with Jacob Daoud, a professional driver partnering with CoCarmoov, who shares his daily experience and advice for anyone interested in this job.
What did you do before working with CoCarmoov?
Jacob Daoud:
“Before joining CoCarmoov, I was both studying at university and working in the transport sector. I was a dispatcher and parcel delivery driver for an online marketplace. After leaving that job, I was looking for a new challenge I could balance with my studies.”
What do you appreciate most about CoCarmoov?
Jacob Daoud:
“What I really like is the simplicity of the payment system. Making an offer on a mission is extremely easy. Once I’ve completed it, I simply validate the job and I get paid within two weeks. The CoCarmoov platform generates the invoice automatically, which makes admin much easier. Even if I forget to validate, I can still do it later and receive payment within the same period.”
How does a typical CoCarmoov mission work?
Jacob Daoud:
Step 1 – Before collecting the vehicle
I start the mission in the CoCarmoov app, fill in all required information and take photos of the vehicle.
Step 2 – Before departure
I call the customer to confirm my estimated arrival time and make sure everything is clear.
Step 3 – Upon delivery
I present the vehicle, explain how the main functions work (such as Bluetooth and key controls), let the client adjust their driving position and always finish by asking if they have any questions.
What are the key qualities for a professional driver?
Jacob Daoud:
Quality #1: Safety
Respecting traffic laws, checking the vehicle’s condition and taking every necessary precaution are essential.
Quality #2: Professionalism and care
As a driver, I represent the company that sold the vehicle. I must remain presentable, responsible and attentive to the customer.
Quality #3: Environmental awareness
I practise eco-driving to reduce fuel consumption and minimise my carbon footprint.
Quality #4: Sound judgement
I need to identify potential issues with a vehicle and decide whether it is safe to drive.
What do you like most about this job?
Jacob Daoud:
“It allows me to balance my personal life, university and work. Compared to parcel delivery, which is very stressful, driving for CoCarmoov lets me choose my missions. Most of them are confirmed in advance, so I can plan my week properly.”
What three words of advice would you give to new drivers?
Jacob Daoud:
“Be attentive, love vehicles and always be on time.”

“To succeed in this profession, you need technical skill, responsibility, integrity and a customer-focused mindset, while staying flexible and adaptable to the realities of vehicle transport.”
